I had a request on my YouTube channel to chat about how to choose a monologue for drama school auditions. In it, I break down Shakespeare ‘casting types’ as they relate to drama school auditions. In general auditions (for a theatre or film production), you need to drill down much more on your casting type, which I will talk about at a later date. But for drama school auditions, your main goals are 1) Show them something you are GOOD at, and 2) make your life as easy as possible. (Which means, as I mention in the video - don’t worry about whether someone else might do the same monologue!)
